Summary: If you had been spending the last three decades trying to wipe the taste of Minya out of your mouth at the time, you might have recoiled in horror to learn that a son of Godzilla was going to appear again. Imagine the relief on everyone's faces when it turned out to be way more dignified.

History: Somewhere on Adonoa Island, Rodan was tending to a rather peculiar egg. As it turned out, it was the egg of a new Godzilla. Whether Rodan knew about this or not is up for debate. Either way, man took it away to hatch in human confinement. Raised by the kindly Azusa Gojo, baby Godzilla was prepped as a lure for his father so that they could kill him with Mechagodzilla. When that failed, the baby grew up a bit, only to be menaced by Spacegodzilla. And when his home island was blown up, the explosion mutated him into much more adolescent-looking Godzilla...just in time for Destroyah.

Final Fate: After being killed by Destroyah, Godzilla Junior is restored by the death of his father, and becomes the new Godzilla.

Powers/Abilities: Becomes able to fire atomic breath as he grows (for some reaason, as Little Godzilla, he fires bubbles from his mouth).

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-This child's human upbringing makes him much better in disposition than his father, and he starts off almost insufferably cute. But a Godzilla is still a Godzilla, and in time, his power becomes almost on par with his predecessor.

Trivia: -At least one of the filmmakers actually wanted Minya in the Heisei series, but everyone else was against it, and they decided to just start from scratch.

-If you can believe it, some proposals for Godzilla Junior's debut involved him and his dad going up against Varan, and another where the poor kid gets possessed by Ghost Godzilla.
